ConvertX ("the App") is developed and operated by Viraat Engineering ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Your Files Never Leave Your Device
ConvertX is designed with privacy as a core principle. All file conversions, compression, merging, and editing are performed entirely on your device.
When you use ConvertX:
Your files are processed locally using on-device technologies.
Your files are never uploaded to our servers or to any third-party server for processing.
We do not operate servers that receive, store, or access your files.
Converted files are saved only on your device, including the App's local storage and your device's Files or Downloads folder (where applicable).
We never have access to the contents of your files.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To improve your experience, ConvertX stores certain information locally on your device only.
Conversion History
File names
File formats
File sizes
Conversion timestamps
This information is stored in a local database solely to display your conversion history within the App. It is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can delete it at any time by using Settings → Clear History, or by uninstalling the App.

Theme selection (Light/Dark)
App settings
Other user preferences
These settings remain only on your device.
2.2 Information Collected by Third-Party Services
ConvertX integrates the following trusted third-party services:
Google AdMob (Advertising)
Google AdMob may collect limited information such as:
Device identifiers
Approximate location
Advertising identifiers
Ad interaction data
This information is used to provide and measure advertisements.

RevenueCat manages ConvertX PRO subscriptions and may process:

Anonymous app user identifiers required for subscription validation

All in-app purchases are processed securely through Apple or Google.
We never receive or store your:
Credit card information
Debit card information

3. Permissions We Request
ConvertX only requests permissions necessary to perform its core functionality.
Photos / Files Access
Used to allow you to select files for conversion.
The App can only access the files you explicitly choose through the system file picker.
Storage Access
Used to save converted files so you can access them later.
Permissions We Do Not Request
ConvertX does not request access to:
Camera
Microphone
Contacts
Precise or background location
SMS
Phone calls
Calendar
4. Data Sharing
We value your privacy and do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Information may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:
With the third-party service providers listed above, solely to provide advertising and subscription services.
When required by applicable law or a valid legal request.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your files remain on your device:
Your original files remain wherever you choose to store them.
Converted files remain on your device until you delete them.
Conversion history remains stored locally until you clear it.
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored App data.
To remove your conversion history:
Settings → Clear History
6. Children's Privacy
ConvertX is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
